Tavira é das mais típicas cidades do Algarve. Banhada pelo rio Gilão está situada em plena Ria Formosa. A entrada na barra deve ser feita com cuidado sobretudo para calados superiores a 1,5 metros, pelo que deverá entrar a meia maré com esta a encher. A corrente que se faz sentir poderá atingir os 3/4 nós. Os bancos de areia são uma das características das entradas nesta zona. Deve-se evitar a entrada com mau tempo.(...)
