Santa Luzia é uma freguesia portuguesa do concelho de Tavira, com 4,46 km² de área e
1 729 habitantes (2001). Densidade: 387,7 hab/km². Santa Luzia é considerada a capital do polvo.
A origem desta freguesia remonta a 1577, e o seu nome é uma invocação à Santa do mesmo nome, siciliana,
protectora dos doentes dos olhos. Santa Luzia foi elevada a vila em 13 de Maio de 1999 |

Santa Luzia ist ein kleines
Fischerdorf das sich auf den Krakenfang spezialisiert hat. Die
Häuser sind sehr malerisch durch ihre Einfassungen viele davon
sind Mörtelarbeit-Musterstücke-welche mit geometrischen-oder
Pflanzen-Motiven dekoriert sind ,was in manchen Fällen der
Einfluss der Neuen Kunst des Anfangs des Jahrhunderts
wiederspiegelt, vor allem in den durchbrochenen Schornsteinen
auf den Dächern. Die Küste von Tavira liegt am Ria Formosa und
ist Naturschutzgebiet, westlich von Santa Luzia. |

(...)Toerisme vindt u hier
alleen in een paar kleine vissersplaatsjes aan de kust, met als
enige iets grotere uitschieter het bijna tegen de Spaanse grens
gelegen Monte Gordo. Wat betreft dorpen en stadjes is daar
allereerst Tavira. Gebouwd aan de oevers van de Rio Gilão,
nodigt Tavira uit tot heerlijk slenteren door de steegjes, een
van de 30! kerken te bezoeken, vis te kopen in de markthal of
gewoon een bica te drinken op een van de vele terrasjes. Niet
ver bij Tavira vandaan ligt

(...)otra opción es caminar durante 1 h por la carretera de la costa que llega
hasta Pedras d'el Rei. Por el camino se encuentra el pueblo de pescadores de
SANTA LUZIA, donde hay tres restaurantes de pescado y marisco muy recomendables. Quizás el mejor sea el
Restaurante Baixamar (lun., cerrado), enfrente del muelle.
Los tres restaurantes suelen costar entre 2.500-3.000 escudos por persona, incluido el vino.(...) |

ausserhalb der bezaubernden Stadt Tavira. Spazieren Sie die Promenade entlang, beobachten Sie, wie die Portugiesen
leben und essen Sie in einem der zahlreichen Restaurants, die u.a.
leckere Fischspezialitäten anbieten. Die grossen Märkte im Freien oder in Markthallen sind
immer wieder ein unvergessliches Erlebnis. |
